I can't say enough about how AMAZING our tour was! My husband and I have been to Maui a few times and decided to book this guided tour since our extended family decided to join (there were 10 of us!). We got to see the Road to Hana like never before.
My first interaction was a phone call with Sean so we could customize our tour. He was great about listening to what we wanted to see and building out the ideal itinerary for us, which isn't easy- we ranged in age from 1 yr old - 67!
Day of our drivers Honesty and Jay picked us up from the hotel and took us on the tour. We got to learn a great deal about both the history and present day life in Hawaii. They even knew how to best navigate the tour so we didn't get stuck in too bad of traffic or crowds. It truly couldn't have been better!
Thanks so much to the Hawaii by Storm team! We will 100% be booking more tours of the island with you when we return to Maui!

My husband and I had a fantastic time on the Hawaii by Storm road to Hana tour. Honesty was terrific. She shared many insights about Hawaiian history, culture, agriculture, and more. She kept us entertained the entire time - and the day flew by! We learned a ton and saw every essential stop on the Road to Hana. We took a tour with Mana and our day with him was unforgettable -- it was our favorite day in Maui by far! He's incredibly knowledgable about the island's rich history and we came away really feeling like we had a better understanding of what makes Maui so special. Mana is kind, hilarious, and extremely accommodating, altering the tour to fit our interests and needs (I have no doubt he'd be as amazing with guests from any age, kids to elderly!). His food recommendations were always on point (I'm still dreaming of the malasadas stop) and we never would have seen as many unique, local spots if we didn't book this tour. Really glad that we booked a private tour with Hawaii by Storm instead of driving the Road to Hana ourselves. Our host Charleston made the whole day so comfortable and relaxed. The driving was great, he brought items like water and umbrellas for us, and he had really good knowledge of Hawaiian history, geography, plants, and the best views. We also liked the flexibility of a private tour to make changes as we wanted.

We really can't say enough positive things about our recent excursion with Maui By Storm. We were lucky enough to get Sean as our guide for the day. At first we had some feelings of trepidation knowing we were going to be given a tour by a "Haole" but those feelings were soon over with. Sean had a very great wealth of knowledge of almost everything we saw, from the meanings of the hawaiian words, what kind of plants/trees we saw and the history of the islands themselves. Sean's love of the islands and appreciation of the culture was very apparent at all of the stops seeing how he interacted with the locals.
From the moment he picked us up, Sean made us feel like family and we could tell right away that he really cared about the time we had and he really knew how to pack all of the things we wanted to do into a day without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The vehicle was very comfortable and Sean was very comforting. Which, with us having two teenage daughters is sometimes hard to get them engaged and feel comfortable with a strange guy, he really was able to make all of our family feel like family and made sure we all had the very best time. He even gave us suggestions for food hotspots around the island and took us to a place to pick up dinner before taking us back to our hotel for the night. All in all it was a great time and we just couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job. Thanks for all the amazing family memories of Maui...The Beechum/One Feather Family. A Hui Hou!

This tour was a great experience and would definitely recommend ! It was so nice to be able to spend as much time or as little as we wanted at the different stops. The black sand beach was so amazingly beautiful and we loved being able to spend time and hike around there. I can’t imagine driving the road to Hana myself given how narrow the roads are. We enjoyed listening to Maui’s history with Jay and he was a great driver and excellent tour guide in general !

We are so glad we booked RTH tour with Hawaii by Storm. Booking was easy and Sean (the owner) was very responsive to all my questions. Our tour guide and driver Honesty did an EXCEPTIONAL job. It was so nice to have her personal experience from someone who grew up here. We loved all the history she knew about the island. We did the road to Hana with Bill. I had done this prior on a bigger van tour with the cruise line. My fellow travelers had never been to Maui before. The vehicle used was so comfortable and had all the right amenities, we made great stops for food and photos. Overall this was a five star experience, our driver was exceptional . So glad we did this on a private tour, glad we were able to have this rare experience before the road was compromised by recent rain. Will never forget it!
